Dried Blood Spot (DBS) Collection
The test uses a dried blood spot (DBS) sample. A few drops of blood are collected from your fingertip and placed on a collection card, which is then left to dry before being sent to the laboratory.

On which day of my menstrual cycle should I take this test?
For the most accurate assessment of FSH, LH, and Estradiol, we recommend collecting your sample on Day 3 of your menstrual cycle (Day 1 is the first day of your period). If you do not have a regular cycle, you can test on any day.
Can I take this test if I am on hormonal birth control?
While you can take the test on birth control, it will likely suppress your natural levels of FSH, LH, and Estradiol. AMH levels are generally more stable but can also be slightly suppressed by some hormonal contraceptives.
How accurate is a finger-prick test compared to a clinic blood draw?
